CALL FOR ENTRIES 2014!

We are open for submissions! Composers can submit film music through the ISFMF’s online entry form. Awards for the best film scores: Application period will run until June 30th 2014 the latest. The Artistic Board of the festival will conduct selection of movies for nominations, and the criteria will be determined in relation to the quality and originality of the score. Only films with the production date between January 1st 2013. […]

Greatest of the Week: ERICH WOLFGANG KORNGOLD

Austrian composer Erich Wolfgang Korngold (1897-1957) is considered one of the founders of film music, along with music giants Alfred Newman and Max Steiner.  Korngold won the Academy Award for his score to The Adventures of Robin Hood in 1938, widely recognized as one of the best film scores ever composed.
